We are looking for an experienced associate to join our Equity Sales team sitting within the Global Institutional Equities Business in London. Key Responsibilities and Tasks § Initiate, develop & maintain relationships with institutional clients and Hedge Funds in the UK. We also value experience in Ireland, Scandinavia, Europe & The Middle East. § Highly motivated to generate investment ideas and market commentary, using Piper Sandler’s world class research platform, to distinguish yourself and the company from our competition. Presenting these ideas internally and with clients. § Direct client engagement. Working as a team with senior colleagues to penetrate large account opportunities & executing on new account openings. § Open new accounts, Increase client votes, and monetize Piper Sandler’s resources. § Update and maintain database with client information, meetings, calls and special projects. § Proactive engagement in scheduling meetings, dinners, and other events for clients. § Proactively collaborate with the sales-traders in the Global Equities Team in London, Switzerland, Paris & The U.S. § Daily work on US Equity Summary & Early Morning Note, and other key client deliverables. § Project work: . o Managing sales interaction reporting (MiFID) o Collate monthly client interactions from both PRISM and Broker Tracks to input into various online MIFID platforms to ensure accurate and timely processing to adhere to strict monthly deadlines o Administrative tasks that help team. § Work closely with and assist Regional Head Of Sales. Required and Preferred Qualities and Qualifications § Reputable experience covering U.S. equities markets. Hedge Fund experience a positive. § 1-4 years of experience in a similar position with a proven track record. § Proven ability to develop client relationships, and a proactive drive to develop an extensive client network in the UK. § Team Player – proactive & collaborative team member with a client driven, detail orientated approach. § Demonstrable experience and aptitude in balancing and influencing stakeholder interests. § Operate strategically to identify future opportunities for business growth. § Extensive client onboarding responsibilities require a detail oriented candidate with excellent time management abilities, and confident communication skills. § Language Skills: Mandatory: English | Desirable: German, Italian, Scandinavian Languages.
