Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

One Place Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client who are a leading cable management company based in Coleshill

Job Details:

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Defining maintenance plans for new/existing production lines and facilities, consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and facilities.
• Fault finding and solving issues on equipment across the plant to achieve maximum performance from the production lines.
• Propose and implement improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at optimizing machine operation and use ability with particular focus on energy efficiency.
• Completing/implementing TPM, PPM and routine maintenance schedules for machines across the site.
• Responding to time critical breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems thus minimizing disruption to the production process.

Previous Experience needed:

• Mechanical & Electrical knowledge of machinery and the experience to be able to fix machinery (90/10 split in favour to Mechanical)
• Experience in Milling, Lathing or Turning is beneficial.
• Previous experience with tool making.
• Need to be happy to learn company machines for 2-3 months.

Hours of Work:

• Working Monday to Thursday (2pm-10:15pm) and Friday (12pm-6pm)

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of maintenance activities with the use of CMMS systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word. PowerPoint etc
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to support manufacturing and machine improvements.
• Machining experience in a maintenance setting using tooling such as Lathes, Milling, grinding, drilling, welding etc.

Salary:

• This role is paying between £40,000 to £42,000 per year.
