This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a business that invests heavily in its own fleet. With a modern fleet, 3-year replenishment cycle, and a commitment to presentation and safety, you’ll be working with industry-leading equipment every day.
The Role: As a key part of the Plant team, you’ll play a central role in managing plant movements and sourcing equipment for projects across the business. You’ll be liaising with suppliers, managing costs, responding to site requirements, and ensuring plant is maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the supply of plant to sites, ensuring equipment is available and delivered on time
- Prioritise use of in-house fleet and explore best cost options where hire is needed
- Manage hire periods, replacements, and ensure equipment is returned or replaced efficiently
- Communicate clearly with site teams and suppliers regarding timing, availability, and queries
- Monitor plant damage and loss charges in coordination with the Plant Manager
- Maintain high standards of supplier performance, aligned with company policies and H&S standards
- Stay up to date with new products and equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid understanding of plant machinery and equipment
- Proven experience in plant hire or movement coordination
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Prior experience in construction is highly beneficial
